I'm trying
I've been holding you for so long that I don't have any idea how to let you go.
Not even a little. My instinct is to hold you tight and close forever.
The day will be here all too soon that I have to let you go and do your thing.
I'm doing my best to let you learn the lessons you have to learn, but I need you to be patient and
to understand that it's not easy to let go of the first most awesome thing in the world.
You are my baby. My first born.
You are more important to me than me.

Moving on
Well, I'm trying to. But here I am awake because my brain won't stop yelling. And boy, the things it's yelling are quite vile.
I turned in my 2 weeks notice yesterday. Left a letter for the boss/owner. Received a voice mail today to inform me she accepts the resignation and "under the circumstances" feels it's best to shift all of my already scheduled clients to other therapists. See why I'm leaving? She cares not one iota for those clients. Of the 4 appointments I had scheduled over the next 2 weeks, 3 were requests. Well, I can't let that stand. So I called the two I knew would be pissed off (and vocal about it) if they weren't told ahead of time that I would not be their therapist.
Someday, karma will get those people that turned that place into the exact opposite of what we set out to make it. She has lost what made the place so different. She ran off the unique people that were somehow brought together to make a difference.
I guess we weren't supposed to make a difference there. Our paths are leading us elsewhere.
