Well, I'm trying to. But here I am awake because my brain won't stop yelling. And boy, the things it's yelling are quite vile.
I turned in my 2 weeks notice yesterday. Left a letter for the boss/owner. Received a voice mail today to inform me she accepts the resignation and "under the circumstances" feels it's best to shift all of my already scheduled clients to other therapists. See why I'm leaving? She cares not one iota for those clients. Of the 4 appointments I had scheduled over the next 2 weeks, 3 were requests. Well, I can't let that stand. So I called the two I knew would be pissed off (and vocal about it) if they weren't told ahead of time that I would not be their therapist.
Someday, karma will get those people that turned that place into the exact opposite of what we set out to make it. She has lost what made the place so different. She ran off the unique people that were somehow brought together to make a difference.
I guess we weren't supposed to make a difference there. Our paths are leading us elsewhere.
I think you have made a wise choice. Now what? Move on and don't look back. I have a friend who just sold her salon to the the spa owner next door to her shop...seems like a nice place, but who knows. Let me know if you want to know more. ~Ms. A.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Ms. A! I'm renting space with another therapist in the Vandivort bldg. :) It's just a room, but it's a wonderful little room that only has what we need in it. I love it there. Everything has become much more positive in my life since I left the other place. :)
