Just shut up already

Isn't it nice of Facebook to suggest people for you to friend? Or groups/pages for you to 'Like'? It really does work out sometimes. That's how I found Facebook pages for Active.com, CoolRunning and Couch to 5K. They have some of the best tips for healthy living that they post just about everyday.
This morning Facebook is suggesting I 'Like' "How About We Stop Blaming Barack Obama For Everything Bush Did". It made this suggestion because I have three friends who have 'Liked' it. I'm not going to join this group because I know that eventually, reading the comments on the page will infuriate me. Inevitably, someone will post stupid misinformation on there that will make my blood boil.
I don't understand everyone's sudden rush to have everything that's wrong with this country fixed overnight. President Obama has been in office for one year, three months and seven days. We gave George W. free reign over our budget and our country for eight years. Doesn't that seem a little lop-sided? From what I can remember, this country was overly patient with George W. But our new President has to work harder than any President I've seen in my lifetime to prove himself.
Why aren't people up in arms about the fact that Republicans are happily sitting on and denying nominations just because they can? Why is no one pissed off that Republicans flat out say they will not sign something or debate about it just because.
Here's my opinion:
People don't like President Obama because he's smarter than they are, he's more deliberative than they are and he has an ability to stay calm that drives some people insane. Oh, and he's black. You can't deny that's a HUGE problem in our "great" nation.
The rest of the world alternates between shock and laughter at us. Did you know that?

Our President is not a Muslim, secret or otherwise.
Our President is not a Communist or a Socialist (not that there's anything wrong with that).
Our President is not a war monger, but that doesn't mean he's going to be weak.
Our President was born of an American citizen in Hawaii, which has been a state since 1959. He's an American citizen, folks. Like it or not.
Our President has a hell of a handshake and his fist bump is unrivaled.

*These are pictures from the times I saw then Senator Obama speak.
